From the beginning, to our end, we will never cease growing.
We will see how our prejudices become obsolete, and our minds succumb to the reality that we replaced with our wants. Those ‘wants’ allow us to see what we want to see, and not the painful side of things.
Or it can get someone to only see the pain, and not the amazingness that the world is made up of. Regardless, I would say that it still falls into the side of what we want to see. We only want to see the painful side of things, because we can’t possibly imagine that life is just this unfair to us, or we only see the amazing side of things, since we wouldn’t be able to handle the grim world, and its totality.
We just want to over-exaggerate it, for it can seem changeable at our own will. To have control over something that we are afraid we have no control over.
This fear that we have is one of the many things that withhold us from getting to know ourselves. Even though this control that we long for has more to do with the world; the world has everything to do with us. We are born here; we learn, we love, we hate, fear, cry, and die here, but yet because we don’t have this control that we long for, over the world, we assume that it has nothing to do with us.
Even though the human body goes through millions of molecular processes to keep us physically alive apart from our actual control; we don’t assume the same about it.
However, there needs to be a basis on the discussion of growth, since the path of growth for anyone is handled by our own subjective views. We might be guided by someone else’s views, but they aren’t as impactful, as to when we get generate our own ideas, and perspectives about life.
This leads us to see that the only way we can start coming up with concepts, is through a deeper understanding of ourselves. This is the basis that any person starts with when it comes to growing. We can attain multiple sources of power, such as money, marital status, and knowledge at a young age, but all of that does not impact our personal growth, until we come to the point that we start getting to know ourselves.
This ‘getting to know ourselves’ process is a confusing one.
It won’t be as easy as having control over the concept of what the world is, or as linear as having dominion over life’s challengeable trials, but it will show the person what the world truly is; not what they want it to be.
